POWER PROGRAM : 2028 & Beyond

MAKERSHIP is inspired by Tall Ships Sail Training Programs combined with a heavy influence of grassroots environmental activism programs such as GreenPeace & Doctors Without Boarders, and our largest, most influencing inspirations SEASHEPHERD. It is our goal and whole hearted intention to expand our fleet of vessels to enable our Missions to have a broader reach and be more impactful. Certain ships will serve various types of missions in different regions more effectively.

We envision a fleet or 4-10 ships, with rapid response times, of various sizes and deployment ranges that can work in tandem or on stand alone Missions. We are preparing to become one of the leaders in ocean going coastal environmental and humanitarian crisis response and a leading accredited educational program creating both leaders and stewards for the future of life on this planet.

THE POWER TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE.

MAKERSHIP has identified a number of powered working Research Vessel types that would lend well to its on going global missions and initiatives. Like SEASHEPHERD before us we will be able to enact great change on the world stage by outfitting these vessels as state of the art Makerspaces, staffed with some of the world’s most brilliant minds and skilled producers, artisans and fabricators.

We will explore & develop innovative ways to refit these industrially powered vessels for sailing, as well as converting their fuel sources to renewable resources such as biofuels, solar, wind, and otech. Many if not all of these ships already come equipped with a full arsenal of cranes, winches, workshops tools and resources for executing our Missions and creating massive impact.

By taking highly skilled teams and giving them real world challenges and the resources and support systems of ocean going ships and vessels like these MAKERSHIP stands a fighting chance as turning the tides on environmental collapse and massive human catastrophe. Teaching and Sharing technology and access to the necessary equipment combined with sustainable design and responsible agricultural practices we can not only minimize the impact of our societies but foster and reward a symbiotic relationship that lives in harmony supporting the natural environment.

Lack of education about climate change and the effects of the harmful practices, materials and chemicals who’s use has been adopted over the past century is one of the leading causes of the social economical crisis which we and our children’s generations now face.

BUDGET NEEDS

In order to realize our “POWER PROGRAM” goals we will need to raise on average between 2-3M US Dollars Annually.
